His career includes many performances with some of the most important Italian orchestras such as the Teatro alla Scala, Filarmonica della Scala, Teatro San Carlo, Teatro Regio in Turin, Teatro Comunale of Bologna, Teatro Carlo Felice, Teatro Regio in Parma, to name a few.
In these occasions he has played under the baton of famous conductors as Daniel Barenboim, Riccardo Chailly, Valery Gergiev, Zubin Mehta, Riccardo Muti, Gustavo Dudamel, Daniel Harding, Daniele Gatti, Myung-whun Chung, Fabio Luisi, Gianandrea Noseda, Christoph Eschenbach participating in some of the most prestigious Italian festivals as the Festival MiTo, Festival dei Due Mondi, Ravello Festival, Festival Verdi.
His career led him to perform in many internationally renowned Concert halls around Europe as the Musikverein in Wien, the Philharmonie in Paris, the Festspielhaus in Baden Baden, the Köln Philharmonie, the Luxembourg Philharmonie, the Leiszhalle in Hamburg, the Essen Philharmonie, the Dortmund Philharmonie.
Andrea Scaffardi has recently appeared as a soloist with La Toscanini orchestra in 2019 performing the clarinet Concerto K622 by W. A. Mozart and in 2020 playing and recording live for the Swedish Radio the Ebony Concert by I. Stravinsky with the Malmö Symphony Orchestra and Robert Trevino in Malmö Live Concert hall.
He regularly plays in miscellaneous chamber music ensembles such as the duo with the piano, the woodwinds quintet, with string quartet and in some more articulated ensembles and he has performed for some renowned Italian festival including the Verdi Festival in Parma, the Umbria Classica Festival and the Festival delle Nazioni di Città di Castello.
He dedicates himself with passion into the didactic activity: he headed a clarinet class at the Reggio-Emilia Conservatory between 2014 and 2017 and he is regularly invited to give Masterclasses in Italy and in Sweden.
